Philadelphia-area vocalist Gina Sicilia became known to Cleveland audiences through her gigs at the now-defunct Winchester in Lakewood. It was one of the places where she established a beachhead as she expanded out of the Philly clubs where she honed her chops before releasing her debut album Allow Me to Confess in 2007, when she was only 22.

Though she was young, her robust alto and her intense, blues-based music with its honky-tonk, jazz and R & B influences has been turning heads since then.

She followed her debut with 2008’s Hey Sugar, 2011’s Can’t Control Myself, 2013’s It Wasn’t Real, 2014’s Alabama Sessions (recorded in Muscle Shoals) and last year’s Sunset Avenue. She’s continued to expand her airplay, touring opportunities, and recognition in a blues community always hungry for fresh, young artists.

She’ll be back in town at the Music Box Supper Club with her Gina Sicilia Blues Band. Tickets are $10 in advance, $12 at the door.
