The all-male college a cappella group is a longtime tradition, and in recent years, more and more coed groups have popped up. But even more recently, young women have been getting in on the game, forming groups such as Kenyon College’s Owl Creek Singers. The ensemble of around ten students (it varies as old members graduate and new ones arrive) performs a repertoire than ranges from soul to country to contemporary indie rock to familiar oldies.
They only do a handful of performances each year, and one of those is at Mahall’s 20 Lanes in Lakewood. Admission is $8.
