Fri 12/30 @ 9PM

Check out a trifecta of very different Cleveland bands at the Grog Shop.

NIGHTS, fronted by guitarist/vocalist Jenna Fournier, along with guitarist Francesco Maraldo and bassist Vince Mauer, strikes a dreamy, hypnotic groove that’s got elements of shoegazer music, space/stoner rock and ambient sounds, adding striking visuals as well.

The Commonwealth’s rock & roll is more straightforward, with a blues-based sound that looks back to the classic rock of the late ’60s and early ’70s. Founded by guitarist Patrick Burke, vocalist/bassist/guitarist Andrew Kuhar, and drummer Nicholas Kuhar, the group adds unexpected, nuanced touches, including unusual instruments, global music rhythms and Burke playing his guitar with a violin bow ala Jimmy Page.

Finally, Cheap Clone will add their clattering indie pop/rock to the bill. Admission is $8.
