Swedish bassist/guitarist/vocalist/keyboardist Tim Skold hit the American scene rather inauspiciously as a member of glam/hair metal band Shotgun Messiah, in the late 1980s as the genre was dying.
Skold, however, made a smooth transition to the scene rising to prominence in the ’90s: industrial metal. He spent time in one of techno-industrial’s great bands, KMFDM and performed in industrial rockers the Newlydeads with another escapee from hair metal, Faster Pussycat’s Taime Downe. Throughout the ’00s, he performed with Marilyn Manson.
Recently, he released a new album called The Undoing, and he’s out on the road with a new ensemble featuring Tiffany Love on keyboards and Eli James on drums. Appropriately, they’ll be at the Phantasy Concert Club which was ground zero for Cleveland’s industrial rock scene in the ’90s. Coldlink, and Two Dead Roses and open. Admission is $12.
