The Center for Music Therapy at the Music Settlement in University Circle has been serving families and caregivers for 50 years — so it’s celebrating this weekend with a free concert and a ticketed evening.
On Sunday afternoon, the Music Settlement presents a concert featuring music the center’s therapists, performing solo and as a group. It’s part of TMS’s Arts for Us series, and it’s open to the public.
On Monday, it will host an event featuring tours of its music therapy studios, performances by clients of the center, a keynote address by Michael Silverman, director of music therapy at the University of Minnesota, and a program honoring its first director of music therapy Anita Louise Steele Markland. Tickets are $125.
