Mon 9/12 @ 7PM

This month, the Science Café at the Music Box Supper Club will address the big issue of “From Big Data to Big Discoveries: How Medical Records Can Support Scientific Research.” Dr. William Bush, assistant professor of epidemiology and biostatistics at Case Western Reserve’s Institute of Computational Biology, and Dr. Aaron Goldenberg, associate professor of bioethics and associate director of the Center for Genetic Research Ethics and Law at CWRU, will talk about how electronic health records can create huge databases that allow researchers to take a look at health care information linked with patient DNA on a large scale and make discoveries that would not have been possibly previously.

Doors open at 5:30pm with a limited menu and full bar available. The discussion runs from 7-8pm. It’s free.
