Who ever imagined that Cleveland’s Mushroomhead would still be going strong 23 years after they launched? Probably not the band’s members! The masked group, known for its onstage theatrics as well as its mix of dark, brooding and aggressive music that draws from metal, goth and industrial, has seven albums to its credit and still tours regularly, although members have come and gone (the band still features orginal vocalist Jason Popson and Jeff Hatrix, along with founder/driving force/drummer Steve Felton).
They’ll again be performing at the Agora Theater, this time celebrating the 20th anniversary of their second album Superbuick, released independently in 1996 and still probably the best selling independent album released by an area band.
They’ll be joined on the bill by Ventana, Unsaid Fate and Dose. Tickets are $27.5o in advance, $33 at the door. VIP tickets, which include early entry, a copy of Superbuick on vinyl and a meet-and-greet with the band are $77.50.
