Sat 9/10 @ 10AM
The goal of the Great Lake Erie Boat Float, now in its 8th iteration, is to have fun, encourage ingenuity and raise awareness about the plastic pollution which threatens our waterways including Lake Erie.
Contestants are crafting boats from recycled materials, which they’ll launch at Edgewater Beach Park at 10am. There will be prizes for the fastest boat, most artistic boat and best use of recycled materials. And if they choose, participants can have their boats recycled after the event.
All are invited to come down and watch. If you’d like to contribute, bring a garbage bag or bucket and join in with the Adopt-a-Beach beach cleanup. It’s free.
