Yeah, the Cleveland Vegan Society has a mission — to persuade you to become a vegan, obviously. That’s why they host a series of events, including their big annual VegFest, that focus on trying to change the way people eat.
To that end, they’re hosting a screening of a new documentary called Food Choices, taking place at the Capitol Theatre. Filmmaker Michal Siewierski, who will be present at the screening, has said that’s not the aim of the film but it might lead you in that direction as he explores the impact of food choices on our personal health and the health of our environment in interviews with 28 experts in how we eat and how we source our food.
There’s a pre-film reception with a cash bar at 4pm, with the screening at 5pm, followed by a Q&A with Siewierski and Dr. Pam Popper, one of the interviewees in the film. Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the door.
