The Cleveland Museum of Natural History’s Reel Science series in conjunction with Cleveland Cinemas returns for the fall season, with more films featuring takes on scientific ideas that may or may not be well grounded. Each screening features a post-show discussion with an actual scientist who will talk about the basis for the ideas in the film.
It starts this week at the Cedar Lee Theatre with a screening of the 1981 film Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, starring William Shatner, Leonard Nimoy, DeForest Kelley, Ricardo Montelban and Kirstie Alley. Astronomer Jason Davis, manager of CMNH’s Shafran Planetarium, will host the post-film discussion. Admission is $7.50.
