Fri 6/17-Thu 6/23
You’ve probably been hearing more and more about the “maker movement” and maybe wondering what on earth that is, thinking, heck, I’ve always MADE stuff.
Come learn what this new twist on creativity is during the National Week of Making (6/17-23), which the Great Lakes Science Center will be celebrating by opening its “Cleveland Creates” zone. “To be a maker all you need is the urge to solve a problem and the tools to make your own solution,” they say.
The CC Zone features hands-on activities, technology demonstrations and other chances to get involved See what it’s all about with hands-on activities, technology demonstrations (including those 3D printers you’ve heard so much about) and lots of creativity and fun, such as a chance to help build a “Cardboard City” or create a parachute to drop form a pulley or float in a wind tube. Build a LEGO car and race it down a track or create a lit-up sculpture. Activities are free with regular admission.
