For the finale performance of its 2016 run, ChamberFest Cleveland is bringing together a large cast of performers from Cleveland’s arts community to do a multi-media performance in a spectacular new space: the Maltz Performing Arts Center in University Circle.

The performance of Igor Stravinsky’s L’Histoire du Soldat (A Soldier’s Tale) will feature music played by an eight-player chamber ensemble, puppetry performed by actors from Talespinner Children’s Theatre with puppets built by the theater’s founder/director Alison Garrigan, video mapping technology by ChamberFest production manager T. Paul Lowry, and narration by legendary local actress Dorothy Silver.

The ChamberFest musicians will also perform Antonin Dvořák’s Sextet for Two Violins, Two Violas and Two Cellos in A major; Eric Ewazen’s Philharmonic Fanfare for Trumpet, Horn and Bass Trombone; and a new arrangement of the Agnus Dei from J.S. Bach’s Mass in B minor.

Tickets are $40; $30 for under 35; $15 for students with ID; and free for 17 and under.
