Cleveland’s Contemporary Youth Orchestra concludes its 21st season, with one of its distinctive collaborations. As it has so often in the past, it’s joining with a classic rock artist to perform orchestral versions of his music. The group, which features more than 100 high school-age musicians under the baton of music director/CYO founder Liza Grossman, will be hosting vocalist/guitarist Tommy Shaw of Styx, which performed with the group in 2006. This show at Cleveland State University’s Waetjen Auditorium will feature music from Styx as well as Damn Yankees and Shaw’s solo career.
