Sat 5/21-Sun 5/22
Started in 1969, the Hessler Street Fair, taking place on a brick-lined street in the heart of University Circle that has escaped redevelopment, is a once-a-year opportunity for young and old to don tie-dye, Grateful Dead T-shirts, ankle bells, long gauzy skirts and other hippie gear and reflect the peace-and-love vibe of the ’60s.
The Fair features two full days of music of all varieties, food, craftspeople, information booths for earth-friendly causes, and lots of gentle people with flowers in their hair.
