The Science Cafe @MusicBoxCle Talks About Advances in Solar Cell Technology

How to power the world of the future without environmentally destructive fossil fuels is a hot topic of the day, as awareness of climate change has grown exponentially everywhere except the Republican Party.

This month’s Science Café at the Music Box Supper Club will explore on potential answer. There Dr. Geneviève Sauvé, associate professor of chemistry at Case Western Reserve University, will talk printable plastic solar cells, with organic semiconductors that can convert sunlight into electricity. Dr. Sauvé will share what research is being done in the field and what developments we can expect to see and how soon.

The Science Cafés are free and open to the public. A full food menu and bar are available to enjoy before or during the program. Doors are at 5:30pm; the program starts at 7.
