Northeast Ohio’s Le Femme Mystique burlesque troupe presented a unique evening of burlesque at the Beachland Ballroom: all of its out-of-town headliners were men.
Four talented guys joined local ladies Bella Sin, Noelle DeVille, Dahlia D’Luxx and Fever Blister, and drag performer Shari Turner. Toronto’s James & the Giant Pasty shared macho man fantasies straight out of the Village People, while Kansas City’s Hank E. Panky regaled the crowd with a humorous routine involving a polar bear suit. And Oakland, California’s Jesi RingoFire morphed from Kylo Ren into Marilyn Manson. But the best was saved for last: Matt Finish (appropriately), this year’s Burlesque Hall of Fame King of Burlesque, combined balletic grace and sass as he pulled out his banana.
