Fri 4/1 @ 9PM
The DuValby Brothers were a key heavy underground band in the Cleveland scene scene in the 1990s, regulars at clubs like the Grog Shop and the Euclid Tavern. The respect they engendered is shown by the fact that their CD, 1996’s The Sleepytime Medicine Band, was released on Cambodia Records, the label started by ’90s underground scene kings Craw.
The group surfaced briefly again in the mid ’00s with the self-released Cursed and Blessed, and now they’re sticking up their heads again. Guitarist/vocalist Buzz Boron is bringing them back for a show at the Happy Dog. Two contemporary Cleveland bands, Banging Fragiles and Ex-Astronaut, open. Admission is $5.
