Meet the Nowak family, a lovable clan of dysfunctional adults from Buffalo, New York whose matriarch, Clara, fervently protects the family’s 20-foot high shrine to the Blessed Virgin Mary. The statue was built by her father who claims to have once had a vision of Mary in his barbershop. But now a deathbed confession begins to test the family’s hope and faith in miracles.
