3/19 & 3/20, 10AM-5PM
Are you ready to bring little of the warm, sunny southwest desert into your house? The annual show of the Midwest Cactus and Succulent Society, taking place over two days at the Cleveland Botanical Garden, will provide everything you need to do so.
“We are a group of collector’s and hobbyists helping each other succeed at our interest in succulent plants. Members range from experienced growers to those just starting out in the hobby,” says Bill Hendricks, Midwest Cactus and Succulent Society president.
The show will feature tables offering a vast variety of these special plants which come in all shapes, sizes and colors. In addition, some of those experienced growers will be offering novices advice and information on how to make them thrive in the very different Cleveland climate, including Bill Hendricks of Klyn Nurseries who will do an educational presentation at 2:30pm on each of the two days.
The show is free with admission to the Garden’s Big Spring show, with its array of super-sized flowers, ladybugs and toadstools both indoors and out. Tickets are $12 for adults, $8 for kids 3-12. That show runs through Sun 4/24.
