The @ClevelandPlayHouse Hosts ‘Little Shop of Horrors’ Themed Blood Drive @PlayhouseSquare

Blood Drive

Thu 1/14 @ noon-4pm

The Cleveland Play House’s current production is Little Shop of Horrors, the rock musical based on the 1960 Roger Corman low-budget black comedy B-movie. It revolves around a plant that feasts on human blood.

The creative minds over the Play House came up with a really quirky tie-in. They’ve joined with LifeShare Community Blood Services to sponsor a blood donation drive in honor of National Blood Donor Month in January, a month when the most blood donations are needed.

If you come down to CPH’s home at PlayhouseSquare’s Allen Theatre to donate, you won’t find any bloodsucking plants, only sterile medical equipment. So you’re safe. Sessions take about 45 minutes and you must be at least 17 years old and 110 pounds to donate. Juice and snacks will be provided. And each donor gets a “buy one, get one” voucher to attend certain performances of Little Shop of Horrors at the Cleveland Play House, which runs through Sun 2/7.
