PHOTOSTREAM: Metal Holiday Food Drive @BeachlandCle Ballroom

As usual, Cleveland’s metal community turned out in droves for the Metal Holiday Food Drive concert, toting nonperishable food items for the Greater Cleveland Food Bank and pet food for the Friends of the Cleveland Kennel.

This year, the show took place in both the Beachland Ballroom and Tavern, allowing for a seamless flow of music, with bands like Deadiron, Olathia and Black Death Resurrected performing on the big stage, and Fuck You Pay Me, Embalmer and Solipsist rocking the smaller room.

A few days after the show, WJCU 88.7FM Metal on Metal host Bill Peters, who organized the show, posted, “We did it again for the seventh time in a row! We have increased donation totals every year of this event. Here are the FINAL grand totals for our 2015 holiday food drive. I wanted to share them with you first. Even without Daniella Dior’s extra food bank donation, our weight total was up 5.7% from 2014. With her donation we absolutely shattered last year’s total! Our cash donations were slightly better by less than a percentage point. Thank you very much for your support, Cleveland Metal Community! These are some AMAZING numbers!!!”

In total, 8803 pounds of food and $6.001 in cash donations was raised.
