Virtually any day of the year is a good day to visit Holden Arboretum. The flora and fauna change with the seasons, and fresh treats are around every bend in the path. We got lucky and visited on the last day that the new Kalberer Emergent Tower and the Murch Canopy Walk will be open to the public until 4/1/16.
This would actually be a good week to visit Holden. Not only will the weather be amazing, the trees are still exhibiting the last of their Fall colors. On Fri 11/6 @2-4pm, you and your family can join a workshop on Maple Syrup Production for Homeowners. If you’ve considered conserving and using sugar maple trees in your own yard, be sure to register for this session with Michael Farrell of Cornell University. Stay tuned for more scientist lectures, beer tasting, and Gifts From the Heart of Nature, opening Sat 11/14 for the holiday season.
And whenever you go, it’s simply impossible to take a bad photo. Here are a few of our favorites, from the top of the Emergent Tower, to the Old Valley Trail deep in the woods.
