Most of the world got to know Nina Blackwood as the slinky blonde VJ from the early days of MTV. Northeast Ohio knew her before that when she lived in the area and played in local clubs.
She’s also an animal lover, as most of us are. And it’s animals that are bringing her back to the Cleveland area. She’ll be hosting the Rock & Roll to the Rescue benefit at the Hard Rock Rocksino, headlined by ’80s rocker Eddie Money. There’ll be auctions and other appearances by other celebrities including Fox 8’s Dick Goddard, and all money raised with go to the Geauga County Humane Society’s no-kill Rescue Village.
Tickets are $25-$125. There’s also a pre-show cocktail fundraiser at 6pm.
