The Akron Center for Art Music & Performance (familiarly known as ACAMP) has only been open since June but its director, singer Tracey Thomas, and her staff of Akron musicians, visual artists, yoga instructors and theater folks have been hard at work building a creative hub for people of all ages.
This weekend it’s staging what it hopes will be its first annual Autumn Arts Festival with artisans of all types selling their wares, pumpkin painting in the arts and crafts room for kids, and coffee, hot cider, hot chocolate and tea available at their Scribbles coffee kiosk. It’s also a chance to check out the facility, see some of the art on display and pick up a schedule of classes.
It’s free and it’s indoors so don’t worry about the weather.
