Sun 11/1 @ 7pm

Veteran Cleveland-area singer Nan O’Malley has performed folk, blue, Irish music and jazz. When she returns to Nighttown, she’ll be digging into the music of Johnny Mercer, the mid-20th century lyricist who created the words for numerous jazz/pop standards including “That Old Black Magic,” “Come Rain or Come Shine” (both with Harold Arlen), “Moon River” (with Henry Mancini), and “Something’s Gotta Give,” for which he wrote both lyrics and music.

So listeners will undoubtedly know — and love — most of the tunes she’ll perform with the quartet that includes some of the area’s most outstanding jazz musicians: pianist Rock Wehrman, acoustic bassist Demetrius Steinmetz and drummer Glenn Davis.

Admission is $10.
