Fri 9/4
For September’s Walk All Over Waterloo, the artist-friendly Waterloo Road closed off a section of the street for a “Salute to Summer” street party, which primarily consisted of kids getting to make a big mess with no repercussions. Maura Rogers & the Bellows performed and the Parade the Circle puppets made an appearance too.
Gallery One Sixty and the Maria Neil Art Project opened new shows with local artists Jake Kelly and Scott Goss respectively. Zygote Press’s Ink House, Praxis Fiber Workshop, Brick Ceramic Studio and Loren Naji’s Satellite Gallery were open for visitors. And there were free concerts in both the street’s record stores with Aaron Civil War doing an acoustic set at Music Saves and the Decibel Duo performing at Blue Arrow.
