There is always time to daydream, to wonder, to imagine. No matter how busy we are, as we shuffle through our daily lives, there is plenty of time for us to step away from this hectic world and get lost in our thoughts.
In mundane everyday activities like brushing our teeth, commuting to work, or waiting in line at the coffee shop, we find time to enter into our thoughts, so we can contemplate, plan, wonder, or remember.
Sounds, smells, feelings can toss us into these thoughts, allowing us to get lost in our own heads, to fall deep into our subconscious. These thoughts, these dreams, these imaginings are places, environments we go to, that have a physical presence, yet is still surreal in form.
So says Scott Goss, whose work will be displayed at Maria Neil Art Project in two formats — Incoherent Spaces, an exhibition of new works in glass, copper and enamel, and It Can Be Lonely In Here, a video and mixed media installation exploring subconscious place through experiential environments. Go check it out and get lost in thought and stunning visuals.
