Powered by PechaKucha joined with Sustainable Cleveland 2019 to present an event at the Music Box Supper Club devoted to the topic of clean water, this year’s Sustainable Cleveland 2019 theme.
The event followed the PechaKucha format, where each presenter uses 20 slides to talk for 2o seconds a piece. Presenters represented businesses, cultural organizations and branches of government — including Mike Mitchell of Mitchell’s ice cream talking about how his business depends on water, Jennifer Fay talking about her business ReTap North American that distributes a revolutionary water bottle, Chad Clink of Holden Arboretum and Colby Sattler of the Western Reserve Land Conservancy talking about how trees protect out water sources, and speakers from the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District, the Cleveland Division of Water and Cleveland Metroparks.
A trio of performers from Cleveland Public Theatre provided an amusing diversion with their skit depicting the history of the Cuyahoga River’s fires, and a quartet of stand-up paddleboarders promoted their rapidly growing sport.
