Join Free Akron Yoga for the 6th Annual Summer Solstice event at Cuyahoga Valley National Park’s Howe Meadow. Come out and celebrate the beginning of summer with 108 salutes to the sun, as well as Kirtan with Brenda McMorrow. The practice will include options for traditional, chair (bring your own), kids and baby yogis.
In addition to yoga, there will be a yoga dance party, local music, healing modalities, meditations and other fun activities for the whole family. Per usual, this event is free to the public!
Here’s a breakdown of the day’s events: Registration begins at 2:30PM. From 3PM-4:25PM, a local Kirtan Jam and Yoga Dance Party will be shaking down. 4:30PM-6PM there will be Kirtan with Brenda McMorrow, followed by a 6PM Dark Meditation with Ryan Lubin. A Kid’s Yoga class is also happenign from 6PM-6:45PM. From 3PM – 6PM. The Wellness Tent with massage, reiki, yoga and more will be open.
There’s something for everyone at this free event, so come out to celebrate healthfully and to kick off 2015 summer fun!
