Thu 4/23-Sat 4/25 @ 7:30PM
The Inlet Dance Theatre’s Four Elements will be presented as part of Cleveland Public Theatre’s (CPT) acclaimed five-week DanceWorks series. Four Elements will run in the fourth week during the series, between April 23-25, each night at 7:30PM in CPT’s historic Gordon Square Theatre (6415 Detroit Avenue).
Inlet Dance Theatre has been building Four Elements (fire, water, air, earth) for the last five years. It was inspired by best-selling business author Laurie Beth Jones’ book The Four Elements of Success, which looks at the four elements as personality profiles. Four Elements was collaboratively created by Inlet dancer’s executive and artistic director Bill Wade, composer Jeremy Allen and lighting designer Trad Burns. In addition to Four Elements, Inlet will premiere collaborative work created with Mihaela Kavdanska, one of the international artists involved in the Cleveland Foundation’s Creative Fusion International Artist Exchange.
Founded in 2001 by Wade, the dance group embodies his longstanding belief that dance creating, performing, responding and connecting serve as tools to bring about personal growth and development. Inlet’s collaborative process and varied artistic staff build the company’s reputation for uplifting individuals and engaging new audiences via performances and education programming. Inlet Dance Theatre is one of the region’s most exciting professional modern dance companies.
