Fri 2/13 @ 8PM

Music fans remember Scottish singer/songwriter Al Stewart, if they remember him at all, for two huge hits in the late ’70s, “Year of the Cat” and “Time Passages,” the title songs from two platinum-selling albums he released during that time.

But Stewart’s career stretched much further back and continued to stretch forward beyond the years of his maximum radio airplay. He emerged from the ’60s British folk revival scene that also produced artists such as Richard Thompson, Bert Jansch, Ralph McTell and Cat Stevens and was kicking around for a decade before the graceful, memorable “Year of the Cat” brought him major success.

And despite a lower profile in the ’80s and beyond, he has continued to record and tour. He’ll be at the Kent Stage with his regular accompanist, guitarist Dave Nachmanoff.

Tickets are $33.50-$42.50.
