With a name like Smokin Fez Monkeys, you know a band is going to be pure fun. And indeed, this Cleveland quartet is just that. They apply their “modern jug band” sound to a mix of witty originals, old-time jug band songs, and pop novelties from MANY years ago. They describe themselves as “a sort of a ragtime-cartoon-Vaudeville-circus-hobo-gypsy-jazz thing.”
So you know you’re in for a good time when the group plays the summer concert series at Keyser Park’s Keyser Barn in Cuyahoga Falls, taking place every other Sunday evening through September 28. Concertgoers are invited to bring chairs, blankets and a picnic; food is also available for purchase there.
It’s free.
