Feral Cat Groups Screen Film, Ten Lives, At Euclid Library

Wed 8/20 @ 5:45PM

The North Collinwood area is home to many feral cats — pets that have been dumped or left behind when their owners moved. Two neighborhood groups, the Euclid Beach Feral Cat Project and the Waterloo Alley Cat Project have worked tirelessly to care for these cats as well as to get them neutered (TNR, or trap/neuter/return) so they don’t spawn more generations of cats living outside.

These groups are trying to spread the word so that people in other area can learn about their work and take responsibility for the cats in their neighborhoods. They’ve teamed up for a screening of a new documentary called Ten Lives: A Feral Cat Odyssey. The film shows how these cats became feral and what some animal-lovers are doing to take care of them. There’ll be a Q&A session after the film if you want to learn more about the work.

The program, taking place at the Euclid Public Library, is free and open to all.
