Dedicated followers of folk music will have a tough choice to make when Judy Collins performs at Cain Park’s Evans Amphitheater on the same night that another long-time Cain Park favorite, Livingston Taylor, closes the Kent Folk Festival at the Kent Stage.
Collins needs no introduction: she was one of the trio of folk divas (along with Joan Baez and Buffy St. Marie) who reigned over the folk revival scene in the early-mid ’60s. The cool, sophisticated one, her musical horizons were always broad, encompassing classical music, jazz and show tunes. Now 75, she continues to perform regularly.
