Akron celebrates the 4th of July in a big way at Lock 3 Live downtown. Starting at 4pm, the gates will be thrown open for a gathering that culminates at 9:45 with fireworks.
Immediately prior to the fireworks, the Akron Symphony will play a concert that we’d be willing to bet will include the 1812 Overture. Earlier in the evening, the Brass Band of the Western Reserve and beloved veteran northeast Ohio folksinger Alex Bevan will play.
It’s all free.
