Sat 5/10 @ 3 – 10pm
Kendall Embrescia chats with Erin Huber, Executive Director and Founder of Drink Local Drink Tap, about inspiring people to value and protect our water as a basic necessity of life locally and globally. Drink Local Drink Tap has curated programs in many local schools, filmed several documentaries and organized plenty of volunteer efforts. And, now with Pure Water Technology as a partner, Drink Water Drink Tap is hosting its inaugural walk / run event, 4 Miles For Water on Sat 5/10 at Edgewater Park.
The name of the event aims to raise awareness that the average distance a person walks to get water is 4 Miles not knowing if the water is even safe to drink. And to bring people down to our beautiful lakefront that is truly a gem.
The day has three parts:
#1 – An attempt to break the Guinness Book of World Record of 500 people walking with a container of water on their head all together at one time
#2- The run / walk event of 4 miles for water
#3 – The after party, which will be an awesome concert played by Carlos Jones and the PLUS band down by the beach. There will be food trucks, beer and kid-friendly / family-friendly activities.
Register for the run/walk portion ahead of time or from 3-4PM at Cleveland Metroparks Edgewater Park on the day of the event.
