Travis Moonchild Haddix is another of those Cleveland blues treasures we probably take too much for granted. He moved to Cleveland about the same time as Robert Lockwood Jr, around 1960, and began playing out regularly in area clubs.
But a lot of his later career has focused on touring and festivals, much of it abroad, as he’s released a series of records first on Ichiban and later on his own Wann-Sann label, showcasing his hybrid of blues and soul.
He’ll be showing off his soulful side when he performs a special show at Nighttown with an eight-piece band that includes a full horn section.
Tickets are a bargain at $15.
