Fresh off “A Grand and Gory Rock Opera” version of Shakespeare’s Titus, Cleveland Public Theatre presents their latest provocative production – The Drowning Girls. This new play is based on the real-life “Brides in the Bath” murders in England in the first part of the 20th Century. Alice, Bessie and Margaret offer post-mortem explanations of how they were “wooed, wed, insured and murdered” by George Joseph Smith – who was convicted and hung in 1915.
