May’s Walk All Over Waterloo Features Art Openings, Mural Tour, Scavenger Hunt & More!

Fri 5/2 @ 5pm

If it’s the first Friday of the month, it must be time for Walk All Over Waterloo. This month’s events include opening receptions for Flower Power! at The Maria Neil Art Project and Corpo nel Moto featuring dance photography by NYC-based photographer Steve Vaccariello at Gallery One Sixty. Flower Power! features three Cleveland-based photographers – Cynthia Penter, Deborah Pinter and Daiv Whaley, as well as a floral sculpture by Moe Dixon. Additionally, the gallery is accepting submissions from the general public. To submit your floral photography for consideration in a curated, digital photo display in the gallery, click here.

At 7pm, Waterloo Arts is hosting a special community tour of the Zoetic Walls mural project – featuring over 20 murals by local, national and international artists throughout Collinwood. The tour will be led by organizers and some of the participating artists. Take the tour to see world-class street art, and learn more about the exciting things happening on Waterloo.

Additionally, you’ll have another chance to check out Vacancy/No Vacancy at Waterloo Arts, #ThisisCLE Music Now at Space: ROCK and STAR POP Vintage + Modern’s 2nd Annual Earth Day Art Exhibit at the Native Cleveland Annex. Stop by The SS&W Boardwalk to check out their new draft system (their first working system in over 5 years), and learn about the tape sculpture scavenger hunt featuring work by Collinwood resident Brittainy Lee Quinn.

NOTE: As construction continues, Waterloo Road is now one-way going from EAST TO WEST (it had been one-way West to East until recently). Follow detour signs. There are new parking lots available. To access them, enter through the alley running parallel to Waterloo (just South of Waterloo) – enter from e.156th, as it’s a one-way alley from West to East. Another parking lot located at the far-East end of Waterloo after Gallery One Sixty and the Waterloo Sculpture Garden (16008 Waterloo Road).
