Karamu House’s Youth Theatre presents a special production based on Cleveland’s favorite son. It’s A Bird…It’s A Plane…It’s Superman is a production based upon the original comic strip, as well as the book by David Newman and Robert Benton. Music for this production was created by Charles Strouse, with lyrics from by Lee Adams.
The story follows Superman as he attempts to stop a mad scientist determined to destroy the “Man of Steel”. A subplot follows Superman’s tension with a reporter from the Daily Planet due to Superman’s attraction to Lois Lane.
