Reggae/hip-hop/funk/rock fusion band Tropidelic commandeer the Kent Stage to offer their college-town tailored music that recalls such frat bro faves as Sublime and 311. Originally formed in Kent, they’ve been plying the trade since 2007, working the campuses hard. They got a big second win when they released All Heads Unite, their first full-length album, in 2012.
Their opening act is Toledo’s hard-touring jam band Boogie Matrix, who bring some of the same funky reggae rock grooves as Tropidelic, making them a well-matched bill for a night of sweaty swirly dancing.
Tickets are $8 in advance, $10 day of show.
