Cool Cleveland correspondent Marty Bielat sat down with Mladenova and picked her brain on her artwork, her past, and on what her plans are while she’s in town. Mladenova arrived in Cleveland earlier this week straight from Bulgaria and is slowly adjusting to life in the 216.
A breath of fresh air. Mladenova’s art certainly is unique and easily identifiable when compared to other artists. The use of data, analyses, surveys and mathematical compositions are in the norm when looking at some of her previous projects. This world traveling artist comes to Cleveland after a long stay in South Korea, in a similar residency program, where she studied when South Koreans have their first contact with art.

Now it’s staging its first NeoSonicFest, nine days’ worth of events that focus on newer music and bringing a new slant to older music.
