Chicago Country Blues Duo @ConservancyCVNP Happy Days Lodge

Sat 4/26 @ 8PM

Harmonica player Joe Filisko and guitarist Eric Noden were both respected musicians in the country/folk blues genre — the unfiltered acoustic blues of the pre-World War II era that laid the foundation for all the styles we now call blues — before they hooked up as a duo.

Each already had a reputation as a leading virtuoso on his respective instrument. But since joining forces, they’ve multiplied their impact, doing performances and workshops all over the world. On recordings like I.C. Special and Missed Train Blues, the Chicago-based duo builds on the legacy of influences like Sonny Boy Williamson, Big Bill Broonzy, and Charley Patton.

They’ll perform at Happy Days Lodge of the Conservancy of the Cuyahoga Valley National Park.

Tickets are $17 for the general public, $12 for conservancy members, and $5 for kids 3-12.
