Start your weekend with a trip to 78th Street Studios’ Third Friday open house. This month, Cleveland’s “Art Maze” of artist studios and galleries are sure to be a buzz as many galleries hold opening (and closing) receptions. New exhibitions include Transition: New Works by Jason Alexander Byers at HEDGE Gallery, Musical Conversations – Sculptures from Gary Blowers at Survival Kit and By Invitiation – the first group exhibition at E11even 2.
You won’t want to miss the closing receptions for Verismilitude (featuring the work of Michael T Meier and Joseph Minek), Moe Brooker: Getting Back to Then at Tregoning and Compnay, the masterful Energy Field Paintings of Scott McIntire at Kenneth Paul Lesko Gallery and Six in Studio at Cleveland West Art League (CWAL) – where this year’s six resident artists will reveal the results of their month-long residency in the gallery.
Survival Kit’s opening reception will be followed by a performance by Akron’s Comfort Clouds and Lauren Voss.
