Tue 4/1
Spring is in the air, and that means it’s time for the opening of Akron’s Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens. Stop by Tue 4/1 to be the first visitor back on the property. The Manor House hosts a traveling exhibition, The Influential Journey, which includes a 16 foot model of the RMS Lusitania made with over 193,000 toothpicks by artist Wayne Kusy.
The Lusitania was at one time the world’s largest ship with a controversial and tragic legacy. It was attacked by Germany on a route from Manhattan to Liverpool. The Lusitania sank, killing 1,198 passengers and crew, and led to America entering WWI.
Stop by next weekend for Inspiration in Bloom – their first fresh floral display of the season. After this past winter, spring is definitely worth celebrating.
