The nonprofit Geauga Fresh Farmers Market at South Russell Village Hall was started in 2002 to provide an outlet for the plethora of small farmers in the surrounding area, as well as local makers of products ranging from bread and pastries to cheeses to kettle corn. Like all markets that feature local produce, what’s available changes with the seasons. The market also sells handmade artist and artisan items like jewelry, soaps and lotion, and garden art. The market’s booth provides recipes and information about farming and area food resources.
The market takes places on Saturdays from 9am-noon at the South Russell Village Hall. The 2019 dates are May 11-October 12.
