This weekend, the Akron Art Museum and Akron Film+Pixel are teaming up for a special day of family-friendly films and hands-on activities. The Spark Family Film Fest will include an hour of shorts and the feature-length, animated film Ernest and Celestine from France (2012). The film is based on the classic Belgian book series by Gabrielle Vincent. It won France’s Cesar Award for Best Animated Feature and was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Animated Feature.
The English-language voice cast features Forest Whitaker, Mackenzie Foy, Lauren Bacall, Paul Giamatti, William H. Macy, Megan Mullally, Nick Offerman and Jeffrey Wright.
