It’s the time of year that tries your patience. Waiting for spring to come is our regional pastime in March. Knowing that the earth turns and we’ll have our next season soon is cause for joy. So chill. And dig what the artists and entrepreneurs have lined up for you and your friends this week.Kurentovanje is the Slovenian answer to Mardi Gras, with a parade, refreshments, and Collective Upcycle’s market, all designed to chase away winter. And if you’re in the market for some wool clothing, you might want to get aboard the Indigogo campaign to support Ohio Knitting Mills. You’ve got till 3/5. You could also check out Linda Zolten Wood’s painted rain barrel exhibition at CMNH this Saturday and learn how to paint one yourself.
Our writers have been busy this winter. Anastasia rounds up the coolest music happenings of the week, Durstin examines the political side of the Cavs’ newest player, and Mansfield proposes a solution to violence at the Juvenile Justice Center — one he knows will never see the light of day.
