In recent years, Ohio (and specifically Cleveland) has become fertile ground for the film industry thanks to various incentives – including the Ohio Motion Picture Tax Credit.  If you’re a fan of these projects and their economic impact, you should stop by this week’s Sales and Marketing Executives’ Networking Luncheon.

This week’s guest is Ivan Schwarz, President of the Greater Cleveland Film Commission.  Schwarz has been extremely influential in attracting high-profile projects – like The Avengers, Captain America: Winter Soldier, Draft Day and Alex Cross.

To be exact, 237 productions have been filmed in Ohio since Schwarz stepped into his current role with the Film Commission.  He will be discussing his work, as well as the Film Commission’s dedication to regional economic impact through promoting and supporting media production, while also building and supporting the creative infrastructure necessary for this new industry to thrive.

Don’t miss this chance to gain a little insight into the future of this exciting sector of contemporary Cleveland.
