Fri 1/10 @ 5pm
The Cleveland Print Room celebrates its first year anniversary with a special exhibition of New York-born, Chicago-transplant photographer Vivian Maier (1926-2009).
Maier shot over 100,000 negatives but showed almost none of them to anyone. Following her death, the collection was discovered by a total stranger (a 26-year-old real estate agent) who has been championing (and profiting from) her work ever since. Over a dozen local businesses collaborated to bring this world-class exhibition to Cleveland. Don’t miss it!
A special, full exhibition preview showing will be held Thu 1/9 evening from 5-9pm. Tickets to the preview are $50 but Friday’s opening reception is FREE and open to the public. The Vivian Maier Mystery will be screened at Cleveland Institute of Art’s Cinematheque on Thu 1/23 at 6:45pm.
